Motion

"To safeguard the health of young people that no further fast food outlets shall be permitted within 250m radius of primary and secondary schools (not to apply to delicatessens and convenience stores), unless an evidence based case is made by the applicant that the proposed development would be in the interests of the proper planning and development of the area."

Relates to the chief executive's recommendation on Motion No. 5019. Both Independent Councillor Cieran Perry, and Green Party Councillors said they wanted the last clause deleted, as it weakened the policy.
