Motion

"That elected members oppose any expansion to the Poolbeg Incinerator which currently serves 12 local authority areas. There is a proposal to increase capacity by 15 % to 690,000 tonnes and a further suggestion that demand may increase to 850,000 tonnes. This would mean in effect a national Incinerator operating within a stones throw of the proposed new development of 3500 new homes on the former glass bottle site on the Poolbeg Peninsula."
